Life can get so chaotic between work, school, kids, pets, etc. It’s hard to find time to balance it all. So…When life is chaos, how do you handle it?
As my mother would say, “It is what it is”. That’s been her motto and I have started to adopt it. My house is not perfectly clean. My laundry is not always done-actually it’s rarely ever completely done. We currently have a dishwasher full of clean dishes and a sink full of dirty ones.
I have come to terms that I am not the perfect mom, wife, or worker but I do try to keep a good balance with all of it. I’ve learned to accept that I won’t be perfect at everything…and that’s okay. I’m happy! And that’s what really counts.
My kids don’t care that the laundry is not done, if there are dishes in the sink, or if every toy is not put away at the end of the night. My husband would rather me hang out with him and watch a little TV then me scramble around like a mad woman trying to keep everything perfectly clean before I go to bed. Believe me, I’ve tried! So, sometimes it’s okay not to be perfect but have a perfectly happy life. Just do what works for you and your family and stop worrying about everybody else. They’ll figure it out they don’t have to be perfect too and they’ll end up being a lot happier as well.
